We stayed here in 2016 and I would have given a very poor review. But, we recently stayed here in August 2017 and had a very nice stay. The room was upstairs and was clean and comfortable. I have heard a lot of negative things, but we had a stay and play and went up for the night. The hotel was accommodating and the shuttle service will take you wherever you want to go. Overall a good stay.

Fri/Sat night stay, no problems with the reservation or check-in although was night 2 before we were given the food vouchers. No ice or vending machines as all the stairways were under renovation-ice was in a cooler in the office. Pool was nice but hot tub not operational during our stay and it would have helped push to another "star" on rating. Good room at a reasonable price on a very busy weekend

Room tip: All rooms are indoor access, parking can be tight if they are booked up.

This was our second stay @ GKMI. They are in the process of "updating" so we will give them a third try, as it is Cripple Creek and there are limited choices for lodging and dinning. The rooms are spacious and clean, however they smell of old smoke aren't the most up to date. The staff has been nothing short of wonderful both times we have stayed there. It is our wish to see Cripple Creek build a larger tourism business.

We were at GKMI last year and was beyond disguised with almost every bit of our stay.

Fast forward a year, the manager gave us a voucher to give GKMI another chance and we were totally impressed. All the issues that we had previously where non issues and we had a great stay. Only negatives, if I were to get picky, would be some duct tape holding down a piece of carpet on our room and a weird circular hole in the wall (I assuming it is there when they did electrical work...but it is only covered in a paper cupcake baking cup.

Requested maid service since we were staying multiple nights, but didn't receive a fresh room for the second night. But we really weren't in the room enough for that to be an issue.

The pool is fantastic! Only indoor poor (or only pool in general) in Cripple Creek. Seemed well maintained and was a cozy nice swim!

We decided to stay in Cripple Creek as we were driving through. This is the first place we saw and since we needed an accessible room and they had one available, we decided to stay. The price was good. It's an older facility and it looks like they're trying to update it, but it still has a way to go. The staff was nice and friendly, but check-in took quite a long time. There were dispensers in the shower which I thought was a great idea, but the soap was out so I ended up having to wash with shampoo - it worked! The slider on the shower (for someone in a wheelchair to adjust the shower head) was broken. The pillows were so flat that it was difficult to sleep! The town is also a little strange - if you're not into casinos, there us no place else to go. We drove out of town a bit and found a really cute grocery store and ate in our room - that was great!
