Description: Conveniently located in historic downtown Durango, the Embassy is a local favorite. The pub is authentic Irish - every piece of furniture, every picture, every glass was shipped directly from Ireland. So if you’re wanting to take a trip to the Emerald Isle without leaving town, stop on by. Enjoy a 20-ounce Imperial Pint of Guinness, a tasty serving of our famous fish and chips, or listen to a traditional Irish jam.

This spot is located in the middle of historic downtown Durango. Most folks park to go to downtown and find this spot along their way as we did. Service is excellent. We got the goat cheese appetizer, shepherds pie, fish and chips, salmon in cream and caper sauce, grilled chicken sandwich and bangers and mash. All were really good especially the bangers and mash. If you're torn on what to order, stuck with that. Kid friendly, but it is an Irish Pub so if your little ones are picky eaters, you may want a different option. Guinness on tap, of course!

Exactly one year ago, we were on a three week tour of Ireland and visited many pubs. The Irish Embassy was as good as any of them. I had the half order of fish and chips which was excellent and more than enough food. My wife enjoyed the shepherds pie. We stayed for delicious Irish coffee just to hear the answers to the nightly trivia questions. Our waitress Courtney was efficient and friendly. I must say, however, that Guinness tastes better in Ireland than it does in the US. We enjoyed a conversation with a local young man, Zachary, who was as friendly as anyone else we have met on our trip

We came here for a good meal and we left with very happy tummies ! The Fish & Chips were excellent. The best Moscow Mules in Durango! We shared the Flourless Chocolate Cake & we were absolutely surprised in the huge portion they served us. It was outstandingly delicious! A wonderful pub in a delightful city!

This is simply one of my favorite pubs anywhere. I have tried a few of the classic pub entrees (Fish and chips and the shepherd's pie) which have all been very good. The atmosphere is excellent. If you love real Irish pubs this is for you! Whenever I come here on business this is my first stop.
Most importantly, they know how to pull a proper Guinness.
