I have stayed various Marriott properties frequently. This wasn’t great.

The staff was friendly, but housekeeping was checked out! We had to go to the front desk for fresh towels in the right amount every day—we were there 6 days. We emptied our own trash cans at least a couple of times. A couple of days we got no service of any kind and the front desk did not know why.

My husband needs a firm bed and the bed was so soft he had sleep on the floor for the last half of the trip.

On a positive note, The breakfast was included and there were a ton of choices. Kitchen staff did a good job keeping up with a pretty hectic breakfast time scene. Good location minutes from downtown Glenwood Springs. There are kitchenettes in the rooms.

Not sure I would choose this property again mainly because of the whole housekeeping thing (and the mattress). For the price, I would think it would operate at a certain level.

My family has been going to Glenwood Springs for weekend get-aways for decades. We have stayed in the budget hotels, the luxury hotels and the well recognized chain brand properties. We come for activities, the hot springs and dining. Eating breakfast at a sit down restaurant seems to take time away from fun and adventures. So for us, a hot breakfast included with the hotel stay is preferable. Here you get a varied breakfast selection from making yourself waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage, and grab and go items to enjoy on your way to morning destination.

The rooms and most importantly beds are comfortable. The location of the property is away from the highway in a quiet location; yet it is close to a shopping area with Target as a hub and several restaurants. I can't tell you how many times Target was a must needed store. Very handy when one family member forgets to pack underwear! :)

Ok I am go to skip over the part on how it has great beds, large clean rooms, super kitchen facilities, mountain view, quiet rooms and a professional staff who knows how to treat their guess. What I want to comment on, We were lucky to stay there on a Wednesday night. The GM brings in a local Asian restaurant and provides a full meal, yes Marriotts folks a Mix that was a full meal. Remember like the old days when you had a full meal five nights a week. Now do not get too excited we also were there on Monday that week and had the limited chips and dips. Tasty dip but not a meal. And what is with the plastic flatware for breakfast and the Mix? Not strong plastic either. However this Residence Inn is the place to stay when in Glenwood. I have been in all of them, and this is the best.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor to avoid the elephants

My husband and I stayed here while traveling through the area. I unfortunately became ill, and we needed to stay an extra night. The front desk staff (particularly young lady with dark hair and glasses) were extremely friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to give me directions to local healthcare, and accomodated our need for a second nights' stay
Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our room was large and nicely appointed. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!

We shared a suite with 2 bedrooms and it sure beat paying for higher-priced, individual rooms. Kitchen facilities are fine and there are restaurants and a pizzeria within a plaza just across a parking lot. Some views of foothills and generally quiet and removed from urban, heavy traffic noises. Beware, however of getting ensnarled in traffic jams due to construction projects that seem to be choking parts of the area until the bridge work and road construction projects are completed.

Room Tip: we stayed on the north side and had an ok view across a parking lot to the foothills and the plaza next to us.
