Great Steaks and Seafood plus excellent selection of sides. We received an e-mail, as we have eaten here about 8 times during the past three years, and they offered buy one entree and get the second one free through June 30, 2017. During the summer they also have a wine promotion on certain evenings which is an excellent value.

Our party of three shared the New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels in a Cream Sauce, two in our party ordered the Steak au Poivre and one ordered the Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon with small portobello. Two hand the sides of a peppered Risotto and one the side of potato mashers. An excellent bottle of Red Wine was $34 and entrees were $32 to $36.

The ambience of the Chop House was really very nice (4). The steak was good (4). The crab cakes were over done and tasteless and served luke warm (3). The drinks were fine (4). The service was a 2 . The servers, about 5 girls, gathered laughing and talking at the bar the entire time we were there! It was so disruptive and a definite atmosphere distractor to say nothing about how that impacted the service. We were visiting from out of town but won't return in the future and can't recommend it.

This Mother's day buffet was the absolute worst one I have ever been to for the price ($34.95) and honestly for any price. The eggs were over-cooked, the gravy for the biscuits and gravy looked like gelatinous muck, the prime rib was raw, cold and tough, the sausage was rubbery, the mashed potatoes were cold, and the seafood benedict was very fishy. There were a couple of good things...hmmm, oh yes the fruit salad, smoked salmon and the desserts (although there was a very small selection).. Further insult was the fact that all our server needed to do was bring us plates, take away our plates and bring us our drinks and she failed horribly. I had to ask 3 times for another fork and she completely forgot to bring me my soft drink so we had to flag another server to assist. We also felt that this restaurant does not have the proper set up to successfully have a buffet. Sorry 4th Street Chop House.

Though Lovelands downtown has a lot to be desired this is the best non chain restaurant in town. It is a great special occasion restaurant with charming atmosphere. We have enjoyed it every time. Staff has always been friendly and they seem to accommodate you desired meal pace. They also have a good menu for each of your desired courses.

Our family has chosen the Chop House to celebrate many of our family's milestones. Last night wwe celebrated our anniversary with family. We were fortunate to get the Grand Table by the front window. Our server, Heather, took excellent care of us. All,of the servers at the Chop House are all well trained and personable. They are attentive, but not intrusive. We come to the Chop House for dinner regularly and the staff very soon gets to know your preferences and you personally. We love the ambience of the 1930's decor, but even more importantly we enjoy the food. They have a very complete menu with entrees ranging from fish to chicken to steaks, but for me the steaks are king here. Always perfectly prepared to your specifications and many great choices for sides. I would also highly recommend their shrimp and scallop appetizer. It has a mild "kick" to it and the texture is a bit crispy. After all of this, hopefully you will have saved room for dessert. They have a wonderful selection of desserts, but their creme brûlée is always a favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant and think it is Loveland's finest.
