We were on Spring Break vacation skiing in Breckenridge when the area got hit with a solid snow storm. We were on the road when the I-70 was shut down, forcing us to exit in Silverthorne, CO. We sat in the parking lot of a local Conoco gas station for 3 hours, waiting to see if the roads would re-open back into Denver. I jumped on the phone and started calling local hotels and they were all booked up. The Quality Inn & Suites was within eye sight of where we were parked and I kept calling and spoke to a very kind man working the office named Jose. He told me that he understood our situation and that he didn't want me sleeping in the car with my wife and two kids either. He said they were full but asked me to call back, as they were having several "no shows" for reservations and he rooms were slowly freeing up. I called back two more times within 2 hours and Jose was able to get us a room. We drove immediately to the hotel and checked in. It was a seamless process and only took a few minutes. The room was comfortable with two (2) queen beds, which was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to be comfortable. The bathroom was incredibly clean and we were all able to get a quick shower and snuggle in a nice warm and comfortable bed with clean sheets. Due to COVID restrictions, they had limited services and a "grab and go" breakfast snack, which was a brown paper bag sack with a nutrition bar, a muffin, a yogurt and a spoon. We all slept incredibly well and enjoyed the "grab and go" breakfast bags on the road in the morning once the roads opened back up into Denver. We are so thankful for Jose. He was incredibly patient, kind and empathetic. You saved our trip, Jose! Thank you!

The hotel was in a very cute town of Silverthorne and right next to some restaurants and shops. There's a grocery store close by also if you need anything. The hotel was clean and it was a typical standard room and just a bit dated, but overall it good for the value. Due to covid - they didn't offer breakfast in the lobby, but they had grab and go bags that you pick up from the front desk.

The property was fine -- a pretty good deal given what you'd expect for at this price point. The staff were AWESOME. Jose was extremely helpful checking us in. When we called a couple of days later about an item we had left it in the room, he tracked it down and the staff mailed it to us.

After reading quite a bit of the reviews, I was hesitant to give this hotel a chance. I decided to stay here as Quality Inn seems to be the hotel chain we stay at the most when we are on road trips. We opted for the room with the fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. We were assigned room 110. The layout of the room is fantastic. There is a table with two chairs. There is a chair with an ottoman. There is also a sleeper sofa and a coffee table. Jose checked us in and was very polite and pleasant. The room was clean and did not have any smells as noted in other reviews. However that could’ve been in other rooms but not this one in particular. The alternate breakfast offering was a brown bag that consisted of a Nutri-Grain bar, a muffin, a burrito, a fruit cup was in one bag and applesauce was in the other. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again.

I booked an accessible room expecting it to be relatively close to the front check in area. Instead it was 2/3 of the way down the hallway. While the room itself was OK, the BED was like lying on a sheet of plywood. If you're looking for top notch views then this hotel is for you. If you're mobility challenged and need a COMFORTABLE bed...this ISN'T your best choice.
