I stayed here last week for a conference. The conference booked and paid for the room, but I have figured out that my room was a studio. It had a cozy and comfortable double bed, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a sleep sofa, a large double bathroom with granite countertop, a sleeper sofa, coffee table, square table for dining/work with 4 chairs, and a spectacular view of the mountain and hot-air ballooning. Everything was immaculate. Before I went, I was interested in what I might need to bring. The toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and shower gel. There was Kleenex, extra toilet paper, a good hair drier, hand soap, bath soap, and a packet containing a couple of tiny emery boards, a few Q-tips, and some cotton pads (make-up removers or applicators? I didn't use them.) There was an adjustable magnifying mirror that anyone could get close to. The kitchen provided paper towels, scouring pads, and dish-washing detergent. The freezer was chock full of ice. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and implements. The in-room coffee was Seattle's Best (very good), and there was a good selection of tea. The bathroom had a heat lamp for after-shower warming, and the shower was a bathtub-shower combination. The kitchen and bath appeared new. Everything was immaculate. There were ample thirsty towels. The bed was very comfortable (pillow-top mattress and 4 pillows). There was extra bedding in the closet, plus an iron, ironing board, and in-room safe. I didn't try the sleeper sofa. If opened out, the room would have been cramped. The air conditioning worked well. You could also open the window. There was plenty of light generally, though you might lack for reading light when in bed (There's a bed-side lamp on a table, but I don't know how well it would work for a book versus an E-reader with its own light source). Housekeeping gave me more attention than I needed. They brought additional toiletries on the second day, remade the bed after 3 days, and replaced towels even though I had hung my towels for re-use. I really appreciated the replacement of coffee packets every day (Sometimes that gets forgotten in hotels.) The only thing I missed in my room was a full-length mirror. Otherwise, though, the bathroom mirror wall was more than adequate for waist-up viewing, and there was another large mirror outside. Wifi was free. The concierge and desk staff were very helpful. We had catered meals, and the dining staff were very eager to please. Unfortunately, other conference attendees did not have as good an experience as I did. It seems other (basic) rooms are not so well appointed, and Housekeeping varies. If you are alone, I really recommend the studio. I was sorry that I didn't get to use the kitchen. If you are a couple, the studio might not work for you due to the small bed. We had limited free time, so the activities around the hotel were enough for us. We took the shuttle to town for a hike one day, climbed the mountain and took the free gondola down on another day, and arranged a taxi to Strawberry Hot Springs on a third. The hotel store had limited hours, but town is really close and both the hotel shuttle and town bus are free. You could also walk to Walgreens (less than a mile away). I did not get to sample the food in the hotel restaurants. There are other restaurants at Gondola Park across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a conference. I'm sure that the studio would also be perfect for a ski week in the winter.
