Our Motorcycle club took a ride through Connecticut and randomly googled places to eat. Mountainside Cafe showed up and we went. WE WERE NOT REGRETTING IT.

The Johnny Cash skillet was delicious as was the western omlette with hot peppers. The grilled chicken was a big hit but the sandwich of all was the short rib sandwich. It was like butter and very flavorful. The staff was extremely friendly and the bathrooms were very clean.

We will be visiting again when we pass through

We stopped here on our way to the Berkshires. We liked it so much that we stopped again on our way back. Food was fresh and tasty. Made with quality ingredients, some of which are acquired from local farms.

We ordered 2 skillet breakfasts on our first visit and a skillet breakfast and a soup and sandwich combo on our second visit. Good food and presentation. Coffee is hot and tasty also. We will definitely be back!

The cars in the side of the road are a good indication of how good this place is. We happened upon it looking for a breakfast spot. All the food is fresh from local growers. Orange juice was fresh. Our omelette were AMAZING! Perhaps the best ever. In addition they came with well cooked bacon, delish hash browns and some seriously good toast. I'm dying to know what type of bread they used. So good!

If you find yourself in this small town or in another town nearby do yourself a favor and have breakfast or lunch at Mountainside. They also serve dinner in the warmer months and though I have not yet been, I have been told it is equally good. The restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. Everything is very fresh and well executed and the staff is very pleasant.
