Room was spacious but reeked in smoking smell. For dinner, I had to walk far to the Subway, elevator was really noisy and shuddered every time it came to a stop. The front office person was very kind.

The place is just OK. I was looking for a place near Trinity College. This place is only about 10 minutes away, has free parking and hot coffee in the morning. They have a light breakfast that was OK. This is not the Ritz by any stretch. The property is old, and the wall paper was crumbling. The carpet is old and shows signs of aging. The washroom can use some new caulking, the one in our washroom had so many rus stains. BUT, was my room comfortable, YES. Was it safe, YES. Did I feel safe, YES. And the staff was very, very nice. I would stay again, becuase of the price, and proximity to the school. I knew when I booked this property I was not going to be at the Royal in Play del Carmen. My need was for a clean, and safe room and that is exactly what I got at this property.

Honestly this would be just a "one nighter" hotel. Clearly they had smoking rooms. It felt really dark and dingy. Room didn't look too clean. Cigarette burn in comforter and the bathroom tub looked dirty. Nothing too negative though. I showered and slept ok. Bed was a little hard but expected since I was not staying anywhere fancy so I was not expecting anything super nice. Great for a one night sleep as it was cheap enough.

My door had the usual lock, but appears the top sliding chain lock broken so as a single young female that made me a bit nervous....

No complaints about staffing. They were very pleasant and nice. They didn't ignore you and was asking if I needed anything.

I did not eat the complimentary breakfast so no comment on that - although it smelt pleasant when I checked out.
