We came up to Kent for an escape from NYC and found just what we were looking for! Walking distance to charming restaurants and beautiful hiking trails, this is a true sanctuary just a few hours from Manhattan. The photos don't do it justice! Starbuck Inn is warm and welcoming and feels like coming home! Thank you Peter for the outstanding hospitality, we'll be back!

Room Tip: suite in the 'wing' was divine!

We absolutely loved this place and it was a pleasure meeting Peter. There are several restaurants within walking distance which made it extra convenient. Kent is also a nice charming little town. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The large ground floor bedroom has easy access to the driveway which is handy if you have lots of luggage.

We visited Kent in early October on our way to a wedding and had a delightful stay at the Inn. Peter was a warm and funny host and we really enjoyed meeting the other guests at tea and sharing our activities of the day.

Kent was such a cute little town and Peter gave everyone recommendations on restaurants but we had purchased local apples, cheese and wine and decided to enjoy Peter's back patio and beautiful yard. He graciously provided a wine bottle opener, some plates and wine glasses for us to use as we enjoyed the starlit October evening...he's the perfect host!

Our room was very comfortable and very quiet on the back of the house overlooking the grounds. The Inn sits back off the busy road within an easy walk of the little town. Peter and his staff served an excellent breakfast as the guests all shared their plans for the day. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Thank you, Peter for sharing your beautiful home!

Room Tip: Room on the back of the home had a beautiful view of the manicured lawn

We recently stayed 2 nights in the Starbuck Inn in Kent. I cannot praise it, or the owner Peter, highly enough.
The Inn itself is absolutely delightful, in a quiet location just off the centre of town. The guests' lounge area is extremely comfortable and welcoming. There is a large, well kept, garden to the rear of the property, which is a lovely place to spend an hour reading or with a drink.
Our bedroom was lovely. Extremely clean, good size, lovely bed linen.
Peter Starbuck, the owner, is one of these people who one senses loves what he is doing. He is exceptionally friendly, engaging, interesting and professional. He made us feel most welcome.
Breakfast was excellent. Different both days and focusing on quality over quantity.
I look forward to a return trip. .

Stayed: October 2017
