Arrived excited to have Pho but their luncheon specials were just too special to pass up. For $10 you get spring roll, dumpling, soup and entree with rice. They are very flexible in adjusting the vegetables in any dish. Loved the spicy eggplant! Daughter loved the Lemon Grass Chicken. But watching the super huge bowls of pho come out of kitchen with players of basil and bean sprouts, can't wait to return and order pho next time!

New Haven's Asian food scene is a mixed bag at best, but Pho and Spice is a pleasant and authentic Vietnamese place with good value for everyday purposes. There is Pho as the name implies, and other Vietnamese specialties like salads and fresh summer rolls. There are also some Thai elements - perhaps the inevitable concession to a public that thinks all Asian cuisines are basically the same - but stick to the Vietnamese as we did and I'm confident you'll enjoy it.

The food here is pretty good, definitely a place to come to get your pho fix. The pho was delicious and so are the banh mi sandwiches. Unfortunately, the waitress was clearly annoyed that we asked for more limes, bean sprouts, etc.

We went to dinner at Pho & Spice to take Diane's daughter out. Nicole started with a Jasmine Limeade $3.95. Diane and I got a bottle of Malbec $23.00. Nicole being vegetarian ordered fresh roll with Tofu $5.95 Diane had shrimp & pork fresh roll $5.95 I had Golden Bag $4.95. For dinner Nicole had Pho Chay a vegetarian noodle soup with Tofu $10.95. Diane had Bo Pho beef noodle soup $9.95 I had Larb a beef spicy salad with mint $10.95. I have not seen Larb since we left Chelmsford ma. because Lowell has a big Asian population and so many good restaurants.
Bottom line would we go back yes we love Pho and not so many places to get it in Ct.
