Not a lot of options in Ridgefield, CT. Hotel was just average or slightly below. Guy at front desk wasn't very nice. Asked for 2 keys, they didn't work, he reprogrammed them and still didn't work. Changed rooms, keys wouldn't work. Finally said that I had to try the lock with just one key being programmed. Not sure what the problem is with their system, but going to the front desk three times at 10PM was a pain and the desk guy seemed put out by it. In the room, the deadbolt barely locks without leaning hard on the door. The extra latch security lock was missing screws and looked like a kid's baby tooth just waiting tor fall off. Looks like they renovated the bathrooms, but did kind of a hack job. Poor painting and trim work and pieces of granite outside the room in the parking lot. Restaurant is closed and not sure what they are planning. If I didn't need to be in Ridgefield first thing in the morning, I would have stayed someplace else as it surely isn't priced below the competition.

We booked this hotel for one night for our family - for three rooms. There aren't many hotels in this area of Connecticut. When we arrived at 10pm, a very disheveled & grumpy clerk informed us that we only had one room reserved. Since we had prepaid, we were indignant & asked him to recheck the confirmation number. He said he did, but he replied that we only had one room. The hotel parking lot was empty, so we were certain they hadn't sold out our rooms. We asked him to call his manager, & I was allowed to speak to him on the phone, but the manager simply said to give the clerk our confirmation number again. The clerk was extremely rude - & told us that we didn't pay enough for 3 rooms. At 1030pm at night, we were outside looking for another hotel for our family members. We contacted Trip Advisor, & they contacted their partner who books for them, & we received an email back saying that the hotel's manager had to approve the refund. Seriously? We paid close to $300 for 3 rooms & they wouldn't honor the reservation. The confirmation I received from Trip Advisor & GetARoom - both showed one night, 3 rooms - which of course was shown to the clerk & ignored. The young clerk shouldn't be in customer service. Trip Advisor should not be booking rooms for this hotel.

Room Tip: Drive to Danbury & try the Residence Inn

It was overall ok. Just a place I stay for the night. Overall clean, bathroom ceiling had quite a bit of mold on it.
