Really nice resort with friendly and well-trained staff. We had the half board option and were always too full after breakfast to have lunch. PS look out for a chef named Benny - he makes the best omelettes (Eggs Benny I called him : P) We didn't try the other restaurant offerings but took the buffet every night as it offered a delectable spread and dessert buffet.

House reef was great for snorkelling, we also did the sunset dolphin cruise - the sea was crawling with dolphins! Kayaking to picnic island was more challenging than anticipated (good workout). For the less active ones, you can cycle leisurely round the island, lounge in the pool, hit the spa, or just chill on your private pool deck. I did have a less than stellar massage the first day but they made up for it with a fantastic therapist the next session.

Lastly, if you can, time your visit with a sky event if you're into meteor showers and stuff like that. The pool deck makes a fantastic place to watch shooting stars at night without leaving your villa.

Dear sg_fab5,

Warm greetings from The Residence Maldives and thank you for taking the time to share with us the relaxing getaway on our island paradise.

Being located in one of the world’s largest and deepest atoll, the marine life here is rich and vibrant with many turtles, rays and reef sharks to be spotted among colourful fishes.

The team and I are also pleased to learn that you enjoyed the other activities and the food offerings at The Dining Room. Your compliments to Chef Benny has also been shared with him.

We hope to welcome you back to our resort during the next sky event.

Warm regards,

M Sundaram

This was our 3rd trip to the Maldives so we had high expectations. Unfortunately it was a week where Maldives was being hot by the cyclone originating in sri Lanka.
As a result we found it really inconvenient to get to the hotel..as we had to take a commercial flight to another local airport and then a short boat ride. It was the roughest scariest boat ride I've ever taken but the staff took good care of us.
This was the only disadvantage of the hotel. Otherwise everything was beautiful. Great food, lots of choice, great facilities, attentive service, lovely sunset yoga, great spa services, nice games room to while away the rainy days.
Highly recommend the cooking class at falhuma.
The island is big enough to cycle around which made it more fun.
You're probably wondering y i didn't give it a 5 star..and it's because some restaurants close on too many days and at times we only had one choice. I've never experienced this in other hotels. Also they tend to cancel all special food nights when it rains instead of moving them indoor somewhere which is annoying. So if you end up with lots of rain during your stay like we did then its a bummer. Otherwise this hotel is great value for money compared to some other hotels at same standard.

Dear NadsinDubai,

Thank you for sharing with us your review on TripAdvisor.

We are glad to read that you had enjoyed your stay at our resort from the culinary offerings to the spa treatments at the first and only Spa by Clarins as well as the bespoke service that is signature of “The Residence by Cenizaro”.

It is most unfortunate to hear that your stay had coincided during the period where the whole of Maldives had experience bad and rough weather due to a tropical cyclone that was in the region.

We note your feedback regarding dining experiences that are subject to weather conditions. I have asked the F&B team to review this for alternative solution so that guests can experience the most of what we have to offer despite adverse weather.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and we hope to welcome you back again to the Maldives.

Warm regards,

M Sundaram

The Residence Maldives is a picture perfect resort. Everything you’d expect in the Maldives: over water bungalows, great snorkeling, nice food and of course friendly and eager to please staff. I’d 100% recommend this resort for a couples vacation or honeymoon. Couple of tips:
- Book one of the overwater villas in the “300” room number range. These are closest to the best snorting reef and have amazing views
- you do need to take an airplane transfer to get to this resort, they take care of everything for you and it’s actually very nice it’s further away as you don’t hear big jets
- Eat at the Falhumaa restaurant, the food is amazing, views picture perfect and not crazy priced (considering the location)
- Bring plenty of sunscreen!

Huge thank you to all the staff for giving us an unforgettable vacation!

The over water villa was a bliss. A perfect setting for honeymooners. We stayed 2 nights at Beach Villa and 2 nights at the over water villa. The over water villa steals the show. Immerse yourself in the pool as you watch the sun set across the open sea. The Beach Bar where the infinity pool is located was our favorite outdoor spot . Relaxing in the over cabanas while you dip your legs in the poll and sip on some savory cocktails.
