We were so happy with our choice to stay at The Residence. Although the long domestic transfer was an inconvenience, it was so worth it for the pristine island and reefs. This is a once in a lifetime holiday for us due to the cost so it was so special to stay in a water Villa and wake up to uninterrupted views and water so clear you could see fish, sharks and rays swimming by each morning.
Great choice for us with a 4 year old because all the staff were so helpful with our daughter but it never felt like a "kid" resort with playgrounds or too many children running about. Echo at the dive center was amazing in watching our daughter so we could do our prep for an adult dive and then Alma at the kids club was so friendly and warm and we had a great dive seeing turtles, fish, and sharks all up close.
Our butler Frances was also very helpful. Highlights were the Falhuma restaurant (we chose breakfast only and loved the option to eat dinner where we wanted and not have buffet for every meal) where the chef made a special meal and dessert for us and it was such a gorgeous setting. Dolphin trip was also spectacular with dozens of dolphins trailing our boat and a beautiful sunset return. Do not hesitate to book!!More
