We ate twice at Positano in the past week and were very pleased by the service, quality of food and experience. Caesar salad was superb. The salmon orangina special was generous size and tasty. Veal with shrimp was delicious. With a prime location next to the Westport Playhouse, we will return.

Thank Jeff C

Conveniently located next to the Westport Country Playhouse, this was the perfect place for an early dinner, with excellent food and welcoming, efficient staff. Nice selection of unique salads, pasta dishes and entrees. The option to choose half orders of the pasta dishes was a big plus for us.

Westport needed a restaurant for the pre- and post-theatre crowd at the Westport Country Playhouse. Positano fits the bill perfectly. The staff is very accommodating and friendly (allows all kinds of menu substitutions). The food is hearty Southern Italian fare. And the location cannot be beat. You only have to park the car once for a night at the Playhouse. Actually, it is worth a visit even if you are not going to the Playhouse.

After a delicious lunch here in August, I returned with a dear friend on 10/19. The menu had changed, poor selection, food was poor, service was terrible, waiter was very rude. I emailed the restaurant, but did not receive a response.
