Visited this beach on a recent trip to Dover for the NASCAR race. Beach is only 7 miles from the race track. There are several parking spots at the beach access point. There is also a Porta potty there too. We went when tide was coming in. Saw lots of horseshoe crabs. My son and his friend (both 9) had a blast flipping overturned crabs upright. There were literally thousands of crabs. We strolled up and down the beach collecting rocks and shells. There was also a decomposing humpback whale about a mile up the beach. Boys loved that. We spent about 4 house at the beach. Boys built a sandcastle and played on beach. This beach is more for nature observing and walking. We took chairs and watched the crabs coming in while boys played. Took a cooler with snacks and drinks too. We saw about 15 people while there. If you near Dover in May/June and have kids it's worth the visit to see the crabs. I will visit again when in the Dover area.
