We stopped in on our way through the Eastern Shore because we saw the sign for clams. We should have known as soon as we walked in. A few rickety tables in the front and then in the back was the seafood store. The clams we wanted were $34 for 100, Eastern Shore littlenecks. The clerk hand counted them and put them in a sealed plastic bag. We put them in our cooler filled with ice and 2 hours later had the misfortune of opening the bag. Over half of the clams were open, and the stench was awful. We threw all of them out and were grateful we didn't buy the soft shell crabs. Dirty, unfriendly and definitely NOT healthy.
