Laduree
Ranked #12 of 21 Restaurants in Bal Harbour
Price range: US$15 - US$30
Description: The history of Parisian tea rooms is intimately tied to the history of the Ladurée family. It all began in 1862, when Louis Ernest Ladurée founded a bakery in Paris at 16 rue Royale. And the rest, as they say, is history. Today, Ladurée is not only the "Fabricant de Douceurs depuis 1862" (Maker of Sweets since 1862), but also a global company bringing the French Art de Vivre to the world.

The best macarons, period. Parisian shop in Bal Harbour with the perfect light and tasty treats. You’ll love them.

Cute small stand in the Bal Harbor shops. Just French Macaroons. They are wonderful and as good as I have had in Paris. Buy some!!

Laduree products need no introduction - they are exquisite! if you are in need for a sugar rush or need to take someone a present, just stop and buy a desert. Why dont they have dark chocolate?

Okay, maybe not just like Laduree in Paris. But the taste is there. The vanilla are the best. Don't miss out!

Although I am not one who likes Cupcakes or Macaroons, my wife is an avid fan of Laduree and we have eaten them in Paris as well as in New York. Our experience in Miami both at the Lincoln Road store and the Bal Harbor store are that they do not get them fresh daily. As much as she likes them, they have a short shelf life, so getting them a day or 2 old shortens them even more. When you pay the high price that they charge which includes getting an air shipment from Paris, they should be fresh.
