Description: Bambino is a small casual, family- friendly restaurant, where delicious NY style pizzas and traditional American-Italian food are offered. All our food is made fresh using the finest ingredients and the best 100%, USA made mozzerarella cheese . Our dough is prepared daily on the premises without any preservatives, never frozen. The pizza is hand-tossed and baked in our stone oven. Our sauces are homemade and cooked to perfection. A little history of us... The building that houses Bambino was originally Dogs n' Suds, a car hop franchise joint in the 1970's. ( Currently only a couple exist today up in the New England states). The premises were then converted into a small pizza shop called Bambino Pizza in 1997. In 2004, We- The Narvaez Family bought the restaurant and continue to own and operate the business today.

We were disappointed with the pizza we received. The toppings were tasty but the crust was thin and soggy and had to be eaten with a fork.

While staying nearby we picked up pizza and salad from Bambino Pizza. It was really tasty with a lovely crust. I often throw away the crust as it can be too thick and doughy but not here. The mixed salad had lots of olives and a lovely dressing. While my husband was waiting they brought him some garlic bread which was a nice touch and tasty he said.

Found this local joint on of all places.....Trip Advisor. Recently moved to the area and also opened up a local business ourselves in Dunedin. So, so tired of the chain restaurants. Don't go too fast down Alt-19 or you might miss this place.....but wow...what pizza! As a big pizza connoisseur I would have to rate this pizza in my Top 3 of all time. The sauce was excellent with just a hint of sweetness.....the crust was fabulous as it was cooked to perfection....not doughy and not brittle....just right! Staff was on top of things and friendly.....even better is the fact that this joint is family owned. Love supporting local businesses. Tossed salad was large and very fresh....dressings were all homemade and it shows...another thumbs up. So when you are looking for a friendly, local, family owned restaurant that also happens to have amazing food.....folks, that is called a 'hidden gem'.
