We booked ahead from Fort Myers beach on the way back to Miami and home. Very clean room, comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. The bathroom was good, nice big shower, room for two. Very pretty setting with palm trees and exotic flowers. Only problem was, when we woke up and I looked out of the curtain our next door neighbour was sitting right outside our window, I very nearly jumped out of my skin, talk about invading our space. You can borrow bikes, but not after dark , no lights, so we walked to The Camellia Street Grill for a very good dinner.

Room Tip: Book ahead, it is very popular

A friend of mine and I stayed at Everglades City Motel, using the motel as a launching pad for trips into the Everglades. At first, we had planned on staying in Naples; we are so thankful we were able to obtain rooms at Everglades City Motel instead. The location of the Motel is very convenient, allowing us to reach the Gulf Coast Visitor Center and the Tamiami Trail (and other visitor centers) with ease. Debbie was very helpful in orienting us upon check-in. My motel room was very clean and comfortable, albeit not fancy, with a small refrigerator and microwave. The room had been updated with a flat screen TV (nice) and new bathroom fixtures. In addition, we were very thankful that Island Cafe is located next door to the motel, within easy walking, where we could have a full breakfast before starting our days. I was a bit put off by the rooms having back doors, but I just made sure that the security lock was used.

Stayed here for 2N as convenient for our time in the Everglades. Bit expensive but everything on your doorstep and clean room. Bed a bit soft but bathroom seemed remodelled. Housekeeping excellent. Young girl on reception when we checked in a bit cool but polite.
Would stay again if visiting the Everglades as convenient and clean.

This place reminded me of all the places we stayed in the 50's and 60's, except with a beautifully updated bathroom, mini fridge and card-key lock. Tile floor, comfy beds, a nice place to sit outside. The front desk was very nice, the room clean and quiet! The Island Cafe next door provides a great breakfast for a few dollars, and there are a few great seafood places in town for dinner. Felt like old times staying here, and we will be back.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are standard motel fare, but clean, with good bathrooms. Island cafe next door does a good breakfast, didn't have dinner there. Easy walk to town. A good , no frills base to explore the Everglades.
