Carmese, the bartender was my highlight of my vacation! She is the hostess with the mostest, even though she is a bartender. She is an awesome spitfire! I would come back to Fort Lauderdale just to see her! Love her!

Stayed here for 2 weeks on business and had a great time. I was working crazy hours so I didn't get to leave the hotel much. I probably would have gone insane with cabin fever if it weren't for Carmese the bar tender. Because I was working so much I'd have to eat downstairs in the lounge a lot. Along with good conversation and sassy come backs she made me feel like I was back home. When ever I have to come back to Ft. Lauderdale for work this is where I'll be staying. The staff is great, the rooms are good and if you're ever feeling home sick (like I was) just head to the bar and talk to Carmese.

We like to stay at the Renaissance hotel the night before getting on the cruise ship. We are traveling fro Idaho so we cannot fly in and get on the ship the same day. The staff at the Renaissance is friendly and the hotel is clean and quiet. It is very near the cruise terminal so it is perfect. We will continue to stay at the hotel for a day or 3 every February!

We booked this hotel for 1 night pre-cruise. The hotel was clean and updated. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room also was clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable, and a nice selection of hair products and lotion in the bath. There is also a coffee maker in the room. The hotel is only minutes from the cruise port and they offer a shuttle for an additional fee. Within walking distance are the Boathouse Restaurant, Starbucks, Cold Stone, Einsteins Bagels, Carrabba's, Panera's, and a pizzeria and burger place. We went to Einsteins for breakfast so I can't comment on the breakfast buffet. The only drawback was the shower head...it actually stung. Thinking that I was being overly sensitive, I checked with my husband and he agreed! Regardless, I highly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: There are rooms with a view of the cruise ships.

The rooms were clean and the bar was a great spot to hang out in the evening. The staff was more than friendly. This is a great place to stay before or after a cruise and there was a shuttle service we signed up with at the hotel for $6.00 a person to take us to the cruise terminal.
