Not only is this one block off the beach, there are grocery, gift/beach shops, restaurants, bars and a liquor store all within a half to one block. Winn Dixie and Publix grocery stores are under 3 miles away. Nightclubs only have $10 cover on Las Olas Blvd. Vibe is really fun! Yolo and O are in same plaza.
The ocean is very clear here and goes out very far before it gets deep.
Resort had a great pool with bar that a had happy hour drinks for around $3! Also large whirlpool and had sauna rooms.
I would recommend the 1 BR or up. The studio has limited space for clothes that hang, I had to hang mine in the utility closet, the 1 BR has a huge walk in closet.
Staff are very attentive, anything we needed was brought to us within a few minutes. (Blender).

This is a decent hotel situated near the beach. The staff was helpful and polite. The hotel itself was clean, but basic.

Renovation going on during our stay was necessary but slightly annoying.

Overall it's an average place to stay in a nice city. I would go return if I were looking for a quiet, nicely located hotel in Ft. Lauderdale.

If it is all you can afford at the time it is fine!! VERY NICE BAR!! But the rooms are quite out dated! Kinda musky smelling . So if you are just sleeping and getting out to enjoy ft lauderdale GO FOR IT!! IT does have a pool. Close to places!

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Although dated the rooms are clean, beds are comfy, the pool and courtyard is island chic, and the staff were friendly. The only thing to keep in mind is bring your own shampoo/conditioner and soap. I am a person who always uses hotel bath products but the ones at this hotel are cheap and its hard to get clean. Also when they say "breakfast is included" that does NOT mean the hot breakfast. Complimentary breakfast consists of some cereal, mini muffins, and toast. All in all, a great place to stay that has a small town island feel that is within minutes of the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect place to stay for a cheap vacation by the sea!

Run down resort, dirty. Watch out for hidden fees and charges not known at the time of booking. Avoid this hotel if possible, the service and amenities is not very good. This is not a resort as most would think it to be.

Room Tip: poor quality
