Description: With over fifty years combined experience in the food industry, brothers Chris and Doug Blauvelt introduce their latest culinary venture. Located in the heart of Downtown Ft. Myers, The Standard serves fresh home-cooked style dishes from our "made from scratch" kitchen. Our Executive Chef, Katlyn Johnson, brings her years of experience as well as her wonderful palate for strong, contrasting flavors to every dish served up to our guests. The Standard also serves amazing handcrafted cocktails created by Dawn Barbour and has an impressive wine and beer selection that is sure to satisfy even the most finicky of palates. In addition to legendary food, drinks, and hospitality, The Standard has an incredibly relaxed atmosphere. Food was good, service very good. Pasta bolognese not as good as fiocchi dish I had there about six months ago.

Our family liked The Standard so much we ate there twice on vacation! Friendly servers, gracious owner and a solid menu.

We are on vacation visiting my wife’s best friend and after a long night out this was HANDS DOWN THE BEST REUBEN I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!!!! Not to mention the bottomless mimosas and great service!!!!

Stayed at Hotel Indigo and The Standard is located at the hotel. Had a great experience meeting Chris and him introducing me to new tequilas. Great food and hospitality. We only have a few more days but will definately stop by again. Thanks Chris!

This was one of two restaurants where we could find a seat that night.
The service was a little slow. The appetizer meat on a skewer was over done. The two sandwiches we had were very good in flavor but could have used more meat for the price. Radio City and pastrami coleslaw on rye.
The place most likely would be better on a slower night.
