We were a group of 4 ladies from CT and MA. The area where we waited outside for the tour to start is full of games and trivia for children and adults. Very entertaining and clean. The whole tour was very informative and so well done and you get to taste several variety of fruit along the way. Deeelicious! What a great activity to do when you have visitors in town. And if you are a local, it's a great teaching tool for your children. At the end of the tour you can buy your favorite fruit and they also have ice cream and homemade fudge. Best of all, if you ship fruit to people back home: the fruit are handpicked from the trees just before they pack them to be sent out. That's shipping with Tender Loving Care. They also have an outdoor restaurant where the food is made to order. Awesome! Loved everything about it.

My family took a trip up to this very quaint place in Ft. Pierce - Al’s Family Farm.

It was raining when we first started our tour, but we had a good time with the ladies who facilitated the tour.

From start to finish, it was a wonderful learning experience for children and adults alike!

The fruit and the juice was delicious! Wow!

The team workers were all professional and very friendly! We had a good time and would definitely recommend this to everyone! It’s absolutely worthwhile!

Loved sampling the orange juice and oranges. This is a working packing house. You can buy oranges and grapefruit, gifts, and fudge. There is an orange grove with information signs. You can learn a lot about the history of oranges in Florida with the tour. Glad we stopped.

My son and I took the tour today as part of out commitment to visiting all the wonderful place near us that the treasure coast has to offer.
After purchasing our tickets we were directed to the “OJ Corral” to play some games while waiting for our tour to begin. This is a great place to keep kids entertained with games. As it was a cold day here, out tour group was small and afforded us time to ask questions and not rush.
Our wonderful tour guide Shari then taught us all about how the farm came to be as it is today, and showed how fruit is really harvested in the groves. After offering samples of Naval, Honeybell ( my absolute favorite!), and ruby red grapefruit, she expertly explained the variety of citrus they use for gift packing, juicing, and donation. We watched the production of grading and washing the fruit and were then able to sample wonderful fresh squeezed juice.
After the tour we were lucky anough to meet Jeff, the owner of Al’s family farms, and he was just as humble and nice as can be.
I want to thank Shari for including my son Jackson in many aspects of the tour, and he now is telling anyone who will listen all about Indian river citrus! As promised, the honey bells we purchased were the juiciest oranges I’ve ever had, and so amazingly yummy! We can’t wait to come back in a few weeks to buy more when they are at peak.
Thank you Al’s Family Farms!

Fun stop for fresh citrus. Loved the free samples of oj and citrus, so much better than anything you get at the grocery store. We bought delicious tangerines!
