This was a stop along the Islamorada Food Tour and the shrimp fritters and coconut shrimp tastings were excellent. The owner stopped by and talked about the restaurant and being on the Food Channel. Very friendly atmosphere.

It does not look any different from the other spots along the Overseas Highway, and it was a purely impulsive stop. The Arnold Palmer, served in a mason jar, was made with real tea and lemonade - no rebottled mixture. We both had coconut shrimp basket - one with a side of fresh, crispy and hot onion rings and one with sweet potato fries - hot from the fryer - and hushpuppies which were sweet, hot and non greasy. The shrimp were plentiful - about 10 in the basket - hot, crispy and the pina colata sauce was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly and willing to stay and chat and answer our questions about the area and recent hurricane. We were delighted to have found such a good lunch on a whim. Listening to the descriptions of homemade asparagus soup, shrimp chowder, etc. that were being given to other tables made us wish we could come back another day! And - best part - it was all reasonably priced!

Saw this restaurant on an edition of "Diners Drive ins and Dives" and we were excited to check it out. Shrimp chowder was served barely warm and bland. Our entree "clams and chips" were extremely overcooked clam strips. Certainly not fresh seafood as one would expect in the keys. Very very disappointed!!!
Not sure how this restaurant ended up featured on the show! :(

A bit old Florida tacky with paper tablecloths , a classic shrimp shack. Their rum punch is huge and will knock your socks off.

We are locals visiting at least twice a week. Great when you seat yourself, but we spent 20 minutes waiting with half the tables empty before we left after being told a table would be ready in 2 minutes . No one there to complain to.
