For many of us, a cabin/cottage at the beach, with an ocean view would be the perfect place to spend our days. For a select few, that fantasy is a reality at Pines & Palms. About 1/2 of the cabins open to the Atlantic Ocean under 100 feet away. There are not a lot of resort amenities, but there is a nice pool, and a dock and boat ramp. The cabins are ground level concrete block construction made about 60-70 years ago. They have been refurbished and updated, but the style is early Wal-Mart. The place isn't fancy at all. To summarize, it is a lovely resort with a 5 star location and view. It has unique waterfront cabins.. It is also totally unpretentious. We found it to be romantic, but it may not appeal to all. It was a treat to get to know other cabin dwellers sitting on their porches or at their tables, enjoying the whole Islamorada vibe, eager to make new friends. Pines and Palms just brings it out. There are very few places like this left, so enjoy it while it's here. .

We are a family of four, staying with our friends, a family of 6. We hired the two villas at Pines and Palms for 10 days.

The villas have Ocean front views, which are outstanding- great to watch the sunrise from the villa balcony or the end of the boat moorings.

The site is peaceful and never felt too busy, whilst the bar staff - Jacob mainly served us - were all friendly and helpful, with tips on where to go, be it for food or watersport activities.

The kids - 9 to 16 - had a great time around the pool and we all enjoyed hiring the paddle boards and kayaks.

In the evenings, we would lay on the loungers in front of the Ocean chatting away with a few beers or glasses of wine - absolute bliss!

Our villa was cleaned everyday, beach towels were complementary and the grounds are well maintained.

Accommodation, whilst a little dated (my only niggle), was very clean and the beds very comfortable.

Overall, a perfect place to come for rest and relaxation, great views and to be at one with the sea.

Stayed here one night on a short Keys trip. Our room was a small cottage on the waterfront, excellent views and short walk to the pool/bar. Reminds me of the Keys in the 60's on the outside but rooms have been remodeled and are in good shape. The parking was the only issue and can be tight at certain times of the day but otherwise a very enjoyable stay. Will likely stay again next time.

Room Tip: Pay the extra to get on the water!

Pines and Palms was the perfect place for our family in the Florida Keys. Centrally located it offered easy access to all our favorite places.
The resort staff was pleasant and helpful. One even refused a tip when offered! We had access to the beach, pool, bar, SUP's and kayaks. We had daily housekeeping service, such a wonderful surprise after a day of fun. Our two bedroom cottage was older but so clean and well maintained.
Perfect for our three generation family.

We had an ocean front room, very pricy over 300 dollars, so had very high expectations. People are very friendly and the room is very nice looking. No question the view was beautiful! However, the AC unit was not central air and the entire room could not cool down with the wall unit. Bed was not comfortable and were overrun in the kitchen by ants. Would probably not do this again for the price.
