It's in a style of motels like they used to have. Maybe 15'ish rooms on a long, very narrow plot of beach front property. Rooms are nice & clean, the owner is nice also. The beach is close by & very quiet. But jsuk everything is pretty minimalist. Ie: the pool looks like an oversized Jacuzzi. I mean that literally. There is only parking for one car per unit. If you have more than 1 car, or have guests visiting for the day, you have to park at a shopping area across the busy street (be quick because cars will NOT slow down for you). The internet doesn't always work. The bathrooms are pretty small & I think most units only have one. There is a Bar-B-Que area for guests but you may need to clean the grill first. And if you like going to St. Armand's circle it's a bit of a drive.
If is sounds like I don't like this place that's not the case. I do like the Sandpiper. It's in a pretty area of the state and this motel is very peaceful (I'm old). But if you like your amenities-Ie.: a nice pool, for laps or just to meet people, a Tiki bar for drinks & a sandwich at lunch, an exercise room to work off your vacation indulgences, etc. then maybe this isn't the place for you.More
