Terrible experience. Noisy, smelly (barbecue on "special night". The family style food arrived in totally random order, starting with fish, then appetizers, then over 1 hour later finally the main dishes arrived from the barbecue. Tap water tasted like sewage water, the selected wine was too cold. The waitress was aloof. And to top it off, the 20% tip is applied automatically so that we cannot challenge.

In summary, a totally overrated, overpriced place which does not have even some of the basics in place. Keep your money and spend it somewhere else

Stayed in the hotel for a week. The interior decoration is by far the best thing about this hotel as well as its location. On the positive side also is the quality of its Japanese cuisine and breakfasts on the patio. Unfortunately on the negative side if you are not up to partying 3 times a week this hotel is probably not for you. All hotel guests (at least those w sea view) will be subject to blaring music from either the hotel night club or the hotels neighbour until 2 or 3 in the morning. Housekeeping must be called to clean the room or they may not bother and even when they do clean its a cursory clean ( see attached cockroach killed day 6 and not cleaned as of our departure). Other annoyances include whiskeys at the bar sold for 100USD a glass when they are for sale in high end restaurants for 35, unfriendly front desk, nice but incompetent concierge, 11 O’ clock checkout time and refusal to allow us even 15 min late check out....

Perfect location. Great customer service and concierge service. Pool is amazing . The A/C in my room did not cool during my time at the Delano. The bars are great. The Mojitos are one of the best I have drink in my life. I will return

The Delano is a South Beach staple, filled with over-privileged families in polos and wealthy men and their beautiful Russian girlfriends....

We came 6 years ago for our honeymoon, it was hip and obviously trendsetting, it reminded us of the Bellagio in Vegas...you were cool just by being there.

This time, it seemed a little beat. No one was at the front door, you can literally walk in and straight to the pool before you find a staff member.

The interior was the same as it was 6 years ago and we had hoped to be impressed with the overpriced cocktails, but the melon mule was the only thing on the menu that was interesting but not dazzling.

It wasn't bad, if you have never been I'm sure you would be impressed but I was looking for that fizzle that just wasn't there.

Had an awesome time at The Delano! Exquisite hotel and an awesome party place with great service and the best Mojitos at the pool bar!, we just had one problem, our family stayed at the Penthouse PH1. Size and feel was very good there was only one problem, the blinds on the window fell off by itself and almost hit my kid. Engineer fixed it but it fell off again the second time. They said their engineer made sure and tested to tug it and it wouldn't fall off but it did and both times almost hit my kids. Glad they didn't. Hope they fix it, that would make their rooms even more awesome and not risk an entire families stay.
