I really like National Hotel. First the pool is amazing. Nice and quiet with not too loud music. Great place to relax.
The staff is very professional specially Jose Benman. That guy would know everything about Miami. Lol he would know even the weather. Very clean environment. The location is great, near to everything. The only complain is the valet parking that is $ 40 per night. I would think it is better to use UBER, Cab or Lyft than bring your car.

Room Tip: rooms with Pool View is great. City view is nice as well. The insulation is good so you don't ha...

My girlfriend booked three night for my birthday and it was an awesome trip. Everything was beautiful and the location can't be beat. Beach manager Adrian Griffith was very accommodating and super enthusiastic which goes a long way The only downside is we had to pay for two nights worth of valet when we only had the car for one night. That money could have went towards another pitcher of red sangria outside at the pool bar!! Overall a great trip and great hotel.

Pros: This hotel is located one block from Lincoln Road/Mall. Very difficult to improve on this. The hotel is a historic hotel built in 1939 that has been tastefully updated. Our room was in a new addition named pool cabanas that are much more recent. The location of the cabanas (4 stories and long building) facing the very long and beautiful pool is great. The room was very tastefully decorated. The staff all the way through was super attentive and nice. I have to repeat that the ling pool is great and unique.
Cons: price was very high for the size of the room ($350/night) on the off season; the cabanas are not connected to the main building, so when it rained we got soaked when leaving our room to go to the main building (though they provided and umbrella inside the closet of the room). The nightly parking fee was $40/night plus taxes! The room did not provide any room seating other than the chair for the desk. No trash can in the room; no ice maker in our building (you have to order everything for the room, including ice). No parking in the building, so your forced to use valet or bring no car.

Room Tip: try to get cabanas closer to ocean

Not the most luxury hotel in Miami ì, but for sure the best atmosphere in town. The Hotel is still in good conditions after 80 years and all details are in pure Art Deco. The staff is very nice and professional . The outstanding swimming pool gives the final touch at the hotel.
Perfect

Room Tip: Don't book the 1014 close to the elevator machinery and street side

Our flight came in at 3AM, and while we had the day and the following booked, we had not noticed the 4pm checkin time. The manager was wonderful when we asked about an early check-in-was able to do for $100 instead of full rate, so that we could get some rest and enjoy our stay. The National was a beautiful location to simply rest-by the pool, beach, or in a very comfy bed. While a chair and towels are included in the resort fee, umbrellas (and any extras at the beach) are not. This was expected, but overall the beach service seemed disorganized, except for charging customers.
