Stopped for breakfast on our way to the beach. Wow what a great find, large portions, home style cooking and very god wait staff!
Sausage, eggs, pancakes and fresh squeezed orange juice, bottomless coffee.
In observing the balance of customers it was clear several were regulars who knew how good the food and service was. We were son impressed that we also visited the Bonita Springs site for lunch and were very satisfied with the taste, service and portion sizes!

We love going to Mels in a pinch. Most often you have to wait because it is that good. It’s got great food and great specials. Not really for big eaters like most diners. Their prices are about 1/2 the other restaurants around. If you are into Grouper they have a Grouper special. They even have seafood specials. It’s a great in and out place and there is also one in Bonita on Tamiami Trail. Love the servers too.

Thank Kristen v

Went with 2 other couples and 6huge desserts which would be the size of two in many places, and alcoholic drinks and coffees all added up to less than ten bucks each including tips. The key lime pie seemed as generous as two slices and was a tad bit sweeter than I like. The others seemed very happy with their brownie sundae, apple pie a la mode, rice pudding, and strawberry sundae...relaxed 50s style diner, good for those looking for that homey vibe.

Good staff and very good food. I returned several times and found each differerent menu item as good as the other. Tried their salads too and they were large and fresh. Fish is fresh, lamb shank is tender, steak is juicy and trimmings are as good. I know them menu and now am hungry to go back.
