GPS took me to a housing development behind it! Once we got there the place was packed but the wait wasn't long. My Spanish Omelette was cooked to my perfection. The peppers were crunchy but the tomatoes were nice and soft. The egg itself wasn't over cooked great job. My wife's egg sandwich was cooked right with melted cheese just running over the side. Great place!

We went to Alphy's for lunch today (a Monday following a very busy weekend for Navarre) and found that they were out of grouper and shrimp... and other than American Catfish the only fish left in the house was Basa. We had never heard of this before but decided to give it a try. At the suggestion of our waitress we ordered the Basa Entree (not the basket). It has 2 Basa fillets and comes with 2 sides and hush puppies all for $9.99. There were 4 of us and we ordered a combination of grilled, blackened and fried.

Now, because we were there close to closing and because they were not expecting such a large order of basa it took a long time for our food to be prepared. We had a 3 year old with us, and the staff understood how a wait can effect a very young child. Not only did they deliver some complementary french fried for him before our meal came out, but we were offered more milk as well.

The wait was long for Alphy's, though not for a "fine dining establishment" where the wait is part of the ambiance. And after several apologies and an explanation or two of why it took so long, the food came out.

The basa was amazing. The fillets were HUGE. The blackened and grilled fillets were well seasoned and allowed the mild taste of the fish to come through. The fired fillets were not overly breaded, and they were fried to a golden crispness that enhanced the flaky fish inside. The basa was definitely a winner. The sides were plentiful and several of us took home leftovers.

This was a meal that started out disappointing with the lack of shrimp and grouper. With the very busy weekend and resupply not due in until later it is VERY understandable. But the folks at Alphy's were able to turn a frown into a smile through their great food, wonderful customer service, and the care, understanding and compassion they showed towards us and our child.

I have been to Alphy's for breakfast and HIGHLY recommend them for the pre 10am meal. Now I can say the same for the lunch time folks.. this is definitely a local gem well worth seeking out!!!

Thank you to all of you at Alphy's for showing such warm hospitality to us and our out of town guests. We will be back!

Woke up Sunday morning craving some pancakes. Well we found them! Alphy's Catfish House has a dandy breakfast. It's just like Grandma's! Big ol' pancakes as big as the plate they serve them on! Country cured ham! (The "salty "kind for you city folks!) The food was so wonderful. Quality service too. Going back in the morning before heading home to Georgia!!!✌️

This place is really popular with the locals. Service is a little slow, but the food is good. Try the cinnamon roll pancake for something different. It's sweet and has some texture but to sweet for me to be the whole meal. Best to get one to share for after your bacon and eggs.
