Great service, wonderful food! Went to this place almost by accident, sure glad I did! It's a small out of the way place in a neighborhood that you wouldn't expect it to be in! I've been there a couple of times in the last few weeks and will be returning regularly! If you like seafood you must try it. The conch chowder was wonderful and the shrimp and grits were decadent! ;-)

Food was generally pretty good...delicious Hush Puppies...okay fried main dishes, but oh my...the CONCH CHOWDER. Thick and rich without fake thickener, tasty and abundant conch, just the right level of heat. Next time we're just going to order large bowls of the chowder and keep eating until we run out of room. The we'll order more of it to go!

Wow- we were invited by friends for dinner at Captain Jim's and didn't know what to expect. We got fantastic service starting with a bread basket filled with Zak the Baker's amazing bread and complimentary crab dip. They feature Wynwood Brewing beers on tap which are amazing, and everything from conch fritters and clams casino to the lightly deep-fried whole hogfish was fresh & delicious. They are a retail fish market as well so everything was pristine and I can't wait to go back.

Currently under new and expert management, Jim's has evolved into a quality food establishment to which you will be proud to bring friends and family. In season (roughly Oct-May) you can get fresh stone crabs from their own traps. Succulent and delicious! All year round, get fresh fish, shrimp, lobster and many other appetizers, soups, even landlubber favorites. It's attached to the pristine and clean market, so you can choose your fresh whole Snapper for dinner there or take some home to grill yourself. It's the best of both worlds. The servers are both friendly and competent. The atmosphere is nautical rustic, bring your white glove because there is NO fishy smell or dirt here. Every aspect is ship-shape, so check it out, you will be back!

When we took control of Captain Jim's we made changes which we believed to be positive and ncessary. Naturally some of the regular customers were not happy. However, most were and our new cliental have been extremely vocal about their positive experience with us. As someone who was here before, and now has something with which to compare your past experience to, we are extremely pleased with your evaluation. Thanks so much for your kind words and we are tickeled to death that you "get it." See you soon, hopefully.
