First the positives. The position of the hotel is excellent. Right on the shopping mall and walking distance to a few restaurants and other shops. Marcelo restaurant was excellent for breakfast. Such lovely friendly servers and very tasty omelettes made to order. There was plenty of items to choose from be it a cooked breakfast or continental. Crickets bar was the best. From the first evening to the last was everything we expected. Again,excellent staff and food,and Daniel outshone every evening. We didn't need to ask for the drinks menu,he remembered what we liked and drank. The room was adequate and again the room maids kept everything in order with new towels and toiletries replaced every day. Now the negatives. Having worked in many hotels myself,I felt reception was indifferent. No warm welcome nor any explanation of where anything was. When we checked out,we were asked to pay the bill and that was it. No thank you for staying with us. No we hope everything was to your satisfaction. Pure indifference. The pool was welcome although in need of some TLC to make it more appealing. The fresh pool towels were much appreciated though. Also,although I understand that Starbucks and Chicka Filla are within the hotel area,there is nothing to stop people from coming into the reception from the mall and eating their take out foods in reception,and using the hotel toilets,despite notices saying not to do so.
