This is a pretty average hotel in an area dominated by Disney offerings. That said, I am definitely not the target market: I was staying while on business in the area (not to do with Disney), and had no interest in any part of the franchised operations. Most of the guests are American families, and it seemed to suit them well. The hotel was not built to be a luxury place, and it isn't. The lobby has been renovated and is OK (the coffee at Joffreys is no worse than anywhere else in the area, for example). The rooms are old fashioned, but clean and neat. The staff are friendly. Good and free wifi. Compared to other hotels in the area the pool is old fashioned and a bit run down. The hotel is next to a stunning lake, but it makes no attempt to engage with it. The Disney Springs shopping and eating area is across the road (with a bridge so you don't have to brave the traffic): Disney Springs has restaurants a bit like in Vegas but without the gambling. The Boathouse was the best place I ate, but I also liked the Polite Pig for bbq. Unless you get this hotel at a really reduced rate, you can do better nearby.

All employees were so kind, especially a valet man named Jorge. He was extremely helpful and seeing him with a big smile on his face every day made our day start off on the right foot. We really appreciated his work ethic as well. Very hard worker! This hotel has a great staff! (:

We stayed at the garden side (more economical), but it shares the lobby and pool with the regular Wyndham. I would not stay here again for 2 reasons. 1. When we checked in, the front desk directed us to another desk to buy theme park tickets. The man at the desk ran through calculating out "great" ticket prices, while insisting it would be fine to sneak our 3.5 year old as a 2 year old to get free tickets. 20 minutes later, he "mentioned" a time share presentation to get these "great" tickets. It felt sleezy, sneaky, and I don't appreciate the front desk sending me over there under the assumption of just buying tickets. It wasted part of our day, prompted an argument with my husband, and left a very bad taste in my mouth. 2. The buses. Unlike Disney buses, these run between a few other hotels and in-between other theme parks. The buses also drop you off at the transportation center at Magic Kingdom, rather than the gate, so there's an extra step of getting onto the monorail. We spent about 1-1.5 hours on the shuttles both going there and coming back, and the worst was coming back at night, when the bus jammed in way too many people, randomly stopped at Epcot, added on a few other hotels to it's rotation. If you're doing the theme parks, spend the extra money and stay within the park at a Disney hotel. If you're just doing the pool and Disney springs, the hotel is fine and a great location for the springs area.

Went for business and extended for a getaway. The hotel is very nice with a great pool area and staff. The location is perfect, as close to Disney Springs as you can get, with a nice walking bridge over the highway. Walk in the other direction for other hotels and a nice shopping area with different restaurants. We parked the car and never moved it until we left. Our room was nice with a view of Disney Springs (and a huge roof), and a small fridge. My only room complaint is the tiny bathroom.... the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. To make up for that comment, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel, or home for that matter. That beats any bathroom. There is a 24-hr cafe' with very good coffee and sandwiches, fruit, ice cream, snacks, etc. We didn't try the indoor bar or mezzanine restaurant. There is a small Disney shop inside the lobby and a kiosk for ordering Domino's pizza. The pool area was nice, clean, had good drinks, good food, and super-friendly servers. Seriously, all the young people were so nice to us older folks :) They were very respectul and fun. The staff running the kiosk at the pool were great too. The pool bathrooms were very clean. We looked forward to the pool area every day.

We had a strange experience the one night after we went to sleep. The front desk called my husband down for something and it was very unnerving for us. He spoke with someone the next day and hopefully the situation will be a teaching opportunity.

Overall, a great hotel when staying in Orlando, especially if you like Disney Springs too. It was a perfect location. There are free shuttles to take you to all of the WDW parks, and even an airline check-in counter to help with your boarding passes and luggage. We would surely recommend this hotel to others staying in Orlando.
