The toilet squirted water out of the bowl when I flushed and it hit my leg. I thought it may have been my imagination so I stood to the side and flushed again. Not my imagination. The water shot a good 3 feet and hit the wall beside the shower. I assumed it was some mechanical malfunction or maybe a cracked bowl so I looked inside. Big mistake! The rim was clogged with....lets just say it was nasty. I had a manager come by the room to see the unbelievably disgusting reality. Like many managers of today, she thanked me for pointing it out and said that she would have housekeeping take care of it..... and then, silence. "Not even close," I said. That "crap" sprayed on my leg! I will expect a full refund. I had been there two nights. When I checked out, the hostess offered a refund for one night.
If you or I were that manager, what would we do to show that we understand our accountability for such a disaster and how detrimental to our business it could be to have that ugly truth about our Hotel get out on line. Not near the effort that I would have made to compensate for such a disastrous customer experience. How difficult is it to keep a toilet clean? Makes you wonder about the beds and the towels, doesn't it?
