First, the resort. It's gated, has great outdoor pool, the outdoor hot tub was barely luke warm every day that we were there, it has a nice tiki hut, the indoor pool and hot tub were both nice. The beach is close, maybe a mile. We did not go in the fitness room and we plan on trying food from the grill this evening. There were a few things I didn't like. The road around the resort is kind of rough, lots of little leaves, etc floating in the pool daily. I noticed they clean it in the morning, it could dipped again throughout the day but no big deal. People smoke out by the pool which I don't care for but it wasn't crowded so no one was directly by us smoking.
Unit 19A is very nice! It is right by the pool gate and has a good view of the pool so that was nice. It's non smoking. The porch is screened. It was really clean and well equipped. The owner has literally thought of everything for kitchen. Plenty of dishes and glasses, both "real" and plastic for the kiddos, lots of pots/pans and utensils, blender, mixer, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher. There is a full size bed and sleeper sofa, both reasonable comfortable. There are beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler for you to use. There is a washer and dryer. The whole unit is tastefully decorated and been well taken care of. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Booked vacation home on Home Away to stay safe and comfortable after struggles around Hurricane Irma. Cute beach house. Second floor. Easy access details from our hostess. Gate codes. House codes. Wristbands for access to pools indoor and outdoor. Just. A few miles from National Seashore. Great place for morning sunrise photos. Only negative for us second floor steps. Bands music available in evening. We did not partake

We spent a week here in late August when most of the crowds had left. The most positive thing I can say about this "resort" is the location. It is literally two minutes from Johnson Beach operated by the National Park System. The beach is one of the most pristine beaches we have visited in Florida. We walked for long distances with very few people, beautiful sand dunes with sea oats and so many birds on the white sand beaches. The water wasn't as blue here but it might have been due to the Hurricane Harvey churning up the seas.
The resort itself shows it wear. The roads are not paved and filled with potholes. We experienced some heavy rains and had to wade through water to get to our condo for several days. The heater in the hot tub was broken for several days. The pool furniture showed much wear. The fitness room weights were rusted and difficult to operate. The TIKI lounge payed loud music until 10pm every night.
On the bright side, we didn't have to pay a high price for the rental....so I guess we got what we paid for.

The management company was late arriving with our keys. They failed to tell us we would be charged $10 for each pool armband if not returned. They charged me $60 for them after the fact and without telling me. The armbands were left in the condo but they refused to check on it. The housekeeper showed up 2 hours early and rushed us out. When I tried to talk to the management, they would not listen and insinuated I was not truthful. This is a poor example of customer service. I sent emails that went unanswered. Don't rent from Perdido Key Property Management.

Not right on the beach but an easy and close drive to the many beach accesses, grocery shopping and restaurants. Beach areas are not tourist-filled but with seaoat- covered dunes, clean, white sand, plus quiet and a family atmosphere. Resort units are completely furnished, secure and relatively quiet. Nice big pool with bar and grill.
