This hotel is new but shockingly, they went to no effort to soundproof the rooms against the 24/7 traffic noise from very busy street it sits on and the train whistles throughout the night. We could also hear noise from the room above us. If you stay here, insist on a room on the back of the hotel but, as the staff pointed out when I mentioned the noise, they charge more for the back side and a decent night's sleep.
Aside from the noise, the hotel is in a good location for exploring St Augustine--close to the historic area and the bridge to the beach. The rooms are sizable and clean; however our shower had large chunks of caulk missing and the rest was moldy (weird in a hotel less than a year old) and the water pressure was really weak. There are nice extras for a budget hotel like robes, complimentary bottled water and a Keurig with coffee and tea. There is a nice small pool with shade later in the day. Be aware that the rate does not include breakfast; they offer it for $10.95 pp. But there is both a Village Inn and a Denny's very close by.
Probably wouldn't stay here again due to the noise issue and breakfast not being included.More
