This hotel was a pleasant surprise from the first impression. Our room was quite spacious; Comfortable bed, large shower; muffin snacks in the lobby at check-in; bottled water; wine & snacks at 5pm; hearty hot breakfast; Keurig coffee maker in the room. But the best part was their customer service. I got food poisoning at a local restaurant and spent the night vomiting and then fainted, causing me to fall which put a huge gash in my forehead. This made a mess on their linens with blood and vomit. When requested, they immediately sent a housekeeper to clean our room while we were at the ER. They were caring and accommodating. The only negatives: no counter space in the bathroom and no table nearby to put our toiletries; and they would not allow us to check in early. They were fine with our parking there early however so we could walk back to town.

Room Tip: Waterfront rooms at an additional cost, but can sit outside for free.

Stayed here with my girlfriend as she had never seen the nights of lights. Prices are considerably higher in St Augustine during this time of year, especially on weekends. While I live close to St A, it's nice to be able to stay somewhere to be able to walk into downtown. Other than staying directly in town (which is over $100 more a night, minimum) this is a great choice. Here's why.

Rooms: Rooms aren't big but definitely large enough to stay in. Really clean and well cared for. Bathroom appears to have been recently updated. Shower only, if that is a problem (not for us). Closet adequate for a weekend stay.

View: Wow. You have two Adirondack style rocking chairs on the deck right outside your room along with a table. Most rooms in the Inn are right on the bayfront, so the view of St Augustine for sunsets and at night are impeccable. During Nights of Lights it's really spectacular. It's also kind private in that there are dividers between your area and the neighbors so you do have some privacy.

People: Didn't get the name of the check in person nor the person who served breakfast in the AM, but they were both great. Check in lady took us to our room to make sure everything was ok, and showed us around. The person handling the breakfast area could not have been nicer.

Location: It's a very short walk into St A as this place is right at the end of the Bridge of Lions. Have stayed at the Doubletree before and this is even closer than that. You are right in the heart of things, and there are also many good places to eat on that side of the bridge as well (I recommend checking out Gas, Food, Service which is awesome).

Extras: From 5-6 each day, they have free Happy Hour with wine and snacks. Unexpected and you can grab stuff and take it to your patio to check out the sunset or just watch the boats go by. Breakfast had both continental style with cereal, toast, bagels, fruit and juice and also came with an egg dish and sausage home made in house (really good!)

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: There are two rooms that don't have a view per se. The views are going to cost you but are worth it

So nice to stay at an old school motel. The rooms were updated and clean and breakfast comes with your room in their dinning room area right on the water. Susan and Sara are the most absolutely best Inn Keepers. Our last day they were not there and another worker was there to serve breakfast. She was no where near as friendly as Susan and Sara but those two just simply void her somewhat dry personality. We will definitely go back and absolutely recommend this perfect little place to stay that is in an ideal location across the Lions Bridge. Be sure to get the upgraded rooms on the water. You will not regret seeing the boats go under the bridge and the bridge raise all during the day. Perfect!!!

Room Tip: Water front rooms are a must.

Spent one night there on a quick trip St Augustine. Location is great. We had a waterfront room so was able to sit out on the deck and watch the boats and see the Christmas lights from across the bay. Rooms have been nicely renovated and the staff was nice. Had breakfast there and they have a nice dining room to sit and eat with a water view. My only suggestion would be to get some black out curtains. The place is well lit at night for safety which is great but the light coming in from the blinds made the room pretty bright at night. We like a darker room to sleep. Overall had a great stay and would stay again.

Picked it because of Tripadvisor reviews. location and looks. Just one bridge away from St. Augustines beautiful historic district which is even more beautiful during winter season with even more christmaslights than usual. The reception was outstanding, friendly and helpfull. Each guest is personally escorted to their room. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a great view over the river and the historic district across. We were in the second floor room (there's only 1) which made it even more special to stay here. Looking over the river, in a rocking chair, from your personal deck, couldn't get any better. The bed was heavenly, as was the breakfast, which had a buffet and ladys serving hot items, like egg casserole and waffles. Would recommend the Edgewater Inn without a thought to anyone. Take the 2nd floor room :-D

Room Tip: As said, we lover the unique 2nd floor room. Bit more expensive, bur well worth.
