Tucked in a back street off the main tourist section you will find this gem of a home. I call it a home because I felt like were were invited into a friends house for dinner. The warmth of the service was so welcomed especially since most of the town eateries are run by college kids where service can be hit or miss. The adults are definitely running the show at the Drunken Horse and it shows in the fine dining quality service without the stuck up pretense.
The decor is mixture of French countryside and Caribbean cool and spotless. The service was attentive, helpful, thoughtful and perfect. I can't find anything I could have wanted more from our waitress. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the charcuteire board, foie gras, beef bourgoinion (you can't spell it either) and sea bass. The wine selection is outstanding and not at all overpriced for the quality and selection. The molten chocolate lava cake; well hopefully you're on vacation, so go face first into it's decadent lusciousness and walk it off.
When we heard the original was in New York, score! Can't wait to try it back home.
It's not cheap, but well worth it.
Family friendly so it's equally perfect for date night as well as family time.
Sit outside if it's warm, otherwise move inside.
Large back room for bigger groups
If driving, get there a little early to look for parking (free after 5 on street)
