This was our second stay at the St George Inn. It’s conveniently located at the north end of St George St, the pedestrian only thoroughfare lined with shops and restaurants. That also puts it near the fort and Ripley’s museum and other waterfront attractions north of the historic district. We found no need to move our car on either visit unless we were visiting an attraction out of town.

Parking is at the multi-level municipal parking garage a block or so away. There is a loading area outside the hotel for check in and check out and help with your bags is readily available.

The hotel is actually a series of building that surround a central courtyard. That courtyard is a very public space with shops and restaurants and can be very busy and, often noisy, on weekend nights particularly around Christmas. Otherwise it is a very festive space.

Th staff of the Inn are, to a person, very friendly and accommodating. Our room was large with a king size bed and a small but adequate bathroom. Housekeeping was excellent.

Keep in mind this is not a B and B so don’t expect a home-cooked hot breakfast. Instead there is a very adequate buffet of mostly cold food including yoghurt, fruit, granola, bagels and croissants. There is also instant oatmeal for those wanting a hot breakfast.

The St George Inn was recommended to us and we have now stayed there five times! The staff is exceptional and genuinely care about their guests. Every room we have stayed in has been clean, comfortable, and had an awesome view of St George Street and downtown St Augustine. We are already planning our next visit in 2018!

Brought mom over to see the Christmas lights and stayed in rooms on the third floor with elevator access. The rooms are spotless, beds super comfy. The entire staff could not have been more helpful or friendly with a relaxed attitude that made us totally at ease. The breakfast offering was well varied with something for every diet. Walk right outside to shops and eateries, and just a short walk to Night of Lights trolley.

St. George Inn is centrally located to everything, but the bad news is because of its location the rooms are NOISY. It’s a very busy location so if you plan on being out of your room until midnight, or you like the experience of the 1800s house you’ll love it. If you want state of the art accommodations don’t stay here. There are a bunch of stores on the bottom floor, one of them is a cigar store, unfortunately we were in the room above, it smells of cigars. Also for the price of the hotel, they really need to do a better job with the breakfast selection. The people who work here couldn’t be nicer, they are very lovely super attentive and accommodating. The hotel is ok, I would definitely come back to St. Aug, but not stay here. Oh and the parking situation is beyond bazaar.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our Inn was built in 2001 and has all the modern convenience you would expect in a first class property. The design provides the ambiance of 1850 Spanish Colonial architecture. We offer very fair pricing for the destination. The cigar store is actually moving to a new location in the beginning of the year. We are proud of the location in the heart of the Historic District and all the benefits it provides. The weekend prior to Thanksgiving is the second busiest time of the year as the town attracts thousands of visitors for the start of Nights of Lights and Thanksgiving week. The majority of our guest rave about our Continental breakfast and the selection. We receive comments that our breakfast is a true European breakfast very similar to what our guest have experienced while traveling in Europe. We have stayed here every year for the Florida/Georgia game for about 6 or 7 years. The hospitality is always the same and we have enjoyed watching the Inn grow. Wonderful location, accommodating staff, and great rooms. Anytime I plan a girls weekend, I suggest the ST George Inn.
