we stayed in a king room on the 2nd floor. Turned off the air and enjoyed the island breeze that blew through the 2 big opposite windows. Bed was comfy, nice chairs in and outside the room. Great on site beach bar with best hot dog and cheese burgers. The 2 pools were warm and surrounded by shade or full sun. There were several places to relax in lounges by the beach, again shaded or sunny. Very tropical landscape. Restaurants you could walk to. We'll be back

Room tip: 2nd floor for the view

We booked an efficiency but when we arrived we were moved to one of the apts due to the construction (same price and a view of the ocean). A nice way to start our vacation.
Everything was well manicured and the rooms were very clean. The only complaint, which I will not against them, is the noise from all the people. We are not drinkers and we are early to bed, early to rise people so all the noise from the late nighters was a little nerving but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Also, a little restaurant with great burgers and chicken sandwiches.

My husband and I just returned from six days at Bon Aire Resort in St.Pete Beach,FL, to celebrate our 41st. wedding anniversary. We had never travelled to this area before, so we didn't know what to expect. We loved it! The hotel is right on the beach, which is beautiful. We had a semi-efficiency room with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. We were able to have breakfast and lunch there and we went out to dinner. Our room was very nice with tropical decor. The bathroom had a nice walk-in tiled shower. Housekeeping replenished our towels daily so we always had plenty. We had more than enough towels for the beach also. The staff on the property was always friendly and spoke to us. The hotel and property was well-kept and grounds were well-manicured. We bought two beach chairs at Publix so we could sit close to the water every day. We gave them to another guest when we left so they could use them. We did eat lunch at the beach bar on our last day before leaving for the airport. The burgers were great! We walked the beach every day and swam in the turquoise water. If the beach wasn't beautiful enough during the day, the sunsets were to die for! They are spectacular! I would highly recommend the Bon Aire Resort. We hope to return soon for another visit!

I spent 5 days at Bon Aire and absolutely loved this place. It reminds me of the small motels on the Florida beach where my family would stay on vacation from the north. Staff and facilities all very noce, no issues at all. The beach bar was great and the food was perfect for that little bar. We're returning same week next year!
