This is a very nice looking mall but unfortunately over time has deteriorated and never took off. Originally it was a hub of activity for the neighborhood but had various problems and turn-over of stores. The parking is dark and somewhat not friendly therefore it has been a cause of some of the issues. The original Virgin Records store drew customers and activity during their time but once closed the place has been mostly empty with various tries by stores that have eventually failed at the location. Perhaps not having a proper entry from Red Road has also impacted it negatively. Restaurants and bars have come and go so the lack of consistency has been detrimental. Only the LA Fitness and Cinemas seem to have been there for a long time as well as some stores such as Barnes and Noble but the activity and atmosphere has never been the same. There are rumors that the new owners will re-do the facility and hopefully address the issues mentioned. Hope so as the local residents can highly benefit of a great place to visit close by. With its closeness to Coral Gables, South Miami and Pinecrest, if done properly, it should succeed.
