Description: The Pelican Cafe is casual waterfront dining with a beautiful wide water view of the St. Lucie River, with a soft sand beach or deck seating. We're located in the Historic District of Downtown Stuart, under the south east corner of the Roosevelt Bridge, adjacent to Flagler Park. Bring the whole family and beach toys for the little ones.Your favorite Fido can come too because we're pet friendly ALL THE TIME! We are 100% open air with umbrella's on most tables. Please check our cold/wet/windy weather status on our Facebook page as we close if the wind is blowing more than 25 MPH, it's an all day rain-out or we have both high wind and temps in the 60s to low 70s in the winter season.

Cute little place by the bridge. Can walk, drive or ride a bike tot his place. There is a park right next to the place besides the water and the bridge. The outdoor seating area is great. We loved the beach area. The food was very good. Service was great and friendly.

We went to Pelican Cafe for the first time today and were very pleased. Our host, Kevin, was friendly and we had a lovely chat while waiting for a table (all of about 5 minutes). We had a choice of a deck table or sitting on the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was full so we sat on the deck, which was lovely as well. Our server, Judy, was friendly and efficient. She checked on us several times and so did Kevin. The food was delicious (I had the blackened Mahi w/mango salsa and my husband had the British Fish and Chips) and plentiful. Our meals were served hot and nicely presented. We were not rushed to leave and afterwards, we took a short walk on the lighted walkway along the water. This restaurant is family friendly and welcomes dogs as well. I plan on returning and bringing out of town guests as well,.

A great place to have lunch! This restaurant is next to a city park and only a few feet from the boardwalk and the intercostal waterway. Good food & great view but, it's only open -weather permitting.

This is our favorite place to go in downtown Stuart. I have never had a meal that wasn't great. The setting and view is one of a kind and the relaxed atmosphere is what I am looking for when I want to go out for lunch or dinner with the family. At nights and evenings, there is sometimes live music with a singer/songwriter style that tops off the experience. I recommend this cafe to anyone who is looking for a little snack, to someone who is looking for excellent seafood plates at a reasonable price.
