This warmly decorated apartment is just a few blocks from the historic district of Tarpon Springs. Restaurants and shops fill the historic buildings and are within walking distance. Just down the street is the Spring Bayou, which is a super pretty and peaceful park to walk, have morning coffee, a picnic lunch/dinner or just people watch. The first floor apartment is comfy and homey. The building is old but maintained. A/C is a wall unit, a bit loud but very efficient. The apartment was spotless upon our arrival. A very safe area. John and Linda were very accommodating. Leave your beach chairs, towels, coolers and bikes at home! All were available for us to use. The beach and the sponge docks are both a couple of miles away.
We would encourage anyone looking for a quiet, nice place to check this one out!
The cottage is located in a quiet and friendly street, within easy walking distance of the historic center of Tarpon Springs and the local pubs and shops. The cottage was very homely and welcoming it was very clean and well presented, we were very pleased with it. John and Linda were very friendly and helpful and they have recently installed a new washing and drying machine annex which was great. Cycles were available, to explore the wonderful Pinellas trail which goes through Tarpon Springs. The cottage is ideally suited to a couple / family, as the toilet is accessed through the master bedroom. There are actually two cottages, an upper and lower, we were in the lower. This is a very nice area to stay for the older visitor, and no Micky Mouse in sight.
The carriage house provided by the Halls is the best value one can ask for. It is recently updated by appearance and found to be clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Centrally located for trips to Tampa, Clearwater Beach, and St. Petersburg you have the wonderfull Greek Village of Tarpon Springs at your doorstep. I cannot imagine a better place to be in this area.
