Nice rooms in good shape although dated. The hotel property needs a refresh badly.

One thing that is a turn off and unacceptable is NO HOUSEKEEPING!!!

they will bring you towels, paper products and soap\towels but that’s it. At this price, not providing housekeeping is unacceptable. I believe you have to empty your garbage.

This was the first time we stayed at this property. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath and all went really well. The beach is right there, the pool is spotless and the employees were friendly and helpful. Maintaining a property like this on the beach is difficult but the Residence Inn is very clean and well taken care of. There is a free uber type service that will take you to restaurants, bars, etc along the beach-just need to tip the driver.
We would definitely go back!

Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite- was big with microwave , full sized refrigerator. Majority of the room dont directly face the ocean; ours was a corner view room so we had a glimpse from an angle. The sink is a bit awkward as another reviewer has stated - it is next to the bedroom , completely separate from the bathroom (which doesn't have its own sink). I would think for a couple it is ok but a family, it might get a bit uncomfortable. The pool was nice . The hotel does not offer beach chairs or umbrellas, but you can use their towels. There is an independent company directly on the beach that rents chairs /umbrellas for approx $30/day.
In general we had a nice time. The hotel is in a good location.

Room tip: Rooms ending in 01 and 02 have the best views.

Into our fourth night here at the RI Marriott. It has been a positive experience. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Room is comfortable and clean. People who complain about room quality really do not realize the work that goes into keeping a hotel fresh on salt water front, tough task and a constant battle. Internet is solid. AC is a bit noisy, may be on its way out but it is keeping room cool. Nice ceiling fan, microwave, mini fridge. Room faces the South. Nice pool for when you have had enough of the sand. There is a bar and fairly large lobby area that mixes as the breakfast area in the a.m. Only had eggs one morning and there is always coffee by the front desk. TI overall is pretty low key place. Some great places to eat/drink. I recomend Crabbys at The Pass and Scullys on the pass (over the bridge) just North of the hotel or go two miles South and there is Sea Dog brewing.
Also Sloppy Joes within walking distance and BRGR are both good. Sloopy Joes has a good happy hour 3-5. Would come back here again and likely will with my older children. Lots of jet skis, kayaks etc to rent on the bay side.

Honestly, what a gem Treasure Island is! That said, this hotel worked out perfectly for our 1 night stay! It’s in an amazing location on the beach! The beach wasn’t crowded and for $30 you can rent an umbrella and chairs. I wish we could have stayed longer and next time we will. The room was clean and large and we even had a partial beach view. Highly recommend staying here if you prefer a hotel over a condo.
