Room we were in was adorable and clean. Fairly quiet, but we did hear the upstairs guests moving chairs around --I am guessing. Literally 2 minutes from the beach; walk out the door and Beach Access is right there. Publix is about 2 miles up the street. Right across the parking lot is a shake and ice cream shop. Only issue was parking. We had a huge SUV and truck parked next to us, and they were partially taking up our space. With that being said, pretty much most of the hotels on Gulf When you get hungry the Waffle House nearby is a sure bet between 2pm-9 pm. The waffles, eggs, sausage, and grits were delicious!! The cook was AMAZING. The food was so good we asked to speak to the cook. Very friendly guy as was our waitress.

60 + year old Florida motel that has been renovated and kept up . Nothing fancy but clean living room/kitchen, bedroom and bath. 400 yds to the beach . Price is right, parking outside your door.
Fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and kitchen all break shape. Even though it is on Gulf Blvd quiet enough for a good sleep. Richard has done a good job!

Truly the best beach access you can get for this price range. Just down the dead-end street, up the boardwalk walkway, and bam, you're toes-deep in the powdery white sand. Leave your flip flops to the side, and enjoy the smooth sandy beach. (There was a tractor being driven along that scoops/filters the sand, so it's a very clean beach. Some nice shells, but otherwise all great sand.)

The place is much more 'motel' than 'hotel', as all the rooms have an exterior door, with all facing to the south. The road out front is fairly busy (2 lanes each direction) and you do hear some traffic noise inside the rooms, but nothing too major. The rooms are generally pretty sound-proof; we never heard any of our neighbors.

We enjoyed a second floor room, and used the small patio area for breakfast al fresco. There are two round tables, I think with 4 chairs each, and the patio area has a nice overlook of the street and action below.

The rooms were nicely updated, with fresh paint and cute decorations. There was a TV in both the bedroom and the entry room, so different TV tastes could be accommodated. The small kitchen area had a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and a double burner hot plate. All worked fine, but the hot plate was a bit sketchy, as the skillet provided was twice the size of the burner; got blazing hot in the center and not hot enough on the edges. Cooking was tricky at best. Instead, we ended up opting for the many restaurants nearby, and specifically would recommend the Boardwalk Grill at John's Pass. Good, inexpensive food. Especially the lobster roll - don't miss it. Also, just south of the motel in the adjoining parking lot is a place called the "Shake Shack". Prices were low, and portions were huge. We saw several local employees getting their treats here, and you know you've hit the jackpot when you find a locals hangout.

The stairs up to the second floor rooms were narrow and steep, but provided a quick and easy access. We appreciated that there were steps on the west, or beach, side and used the shower/sand wash on the northwest corner of the building often. I can't say enough about how convenient it was to be this close to the beach. You no longer have to worry about the details of what to bring, where to find a bathroom, how to store your valuables etc - you just come and go from your room.

We'd definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it!

We stayed in the Blue Cottage and the facilities were great.

Unfortunately Robert had our uk mobile numbers and we didn’t have signal to get the voice mails left, but we had emailed ahead to confirm our arrival using WiFi. After some small confusion, luckily a helpful neighbour contacted him for us and we got a great welcome, local restaurant tips and other recommendations.

The cottage was clean, modern and well located. We had our own parking in front of the place, and a back yard with sunbathing bits, chairs, beach stuff like body boards etc. The beach is a 1 min walk, and St Johns Pass is probably 10 mins, we enjoyed a walk to and from there each day for dinner and drinks-look out for the dolphins!

We chose to eat breakfast in the hotel next door as we were only there 4 days but kitchen was equipped so you could do a shop and self cater.

If we were being picky then a small pool at the motel would be great (but I think he said that is coming soon) and to block up the gap between the lounge and bedroom so someone can stay up and watch tv/chat without disturbing those who want to go to bed.

Highly recommend both the accommodation and the area and we will definitely return in time!

(Ps- we drove to Busch gardens from here twice and it took about 40 mins, a good base to combine the park and beach access)

This is our second stay here and this place is excellent value. Brilliant location with good facilities and very friendly staff......will definitely return. Just a short walk to a great choice of restaurants and bars. Can especially recommend Middle Grounds Grill and the Hubbard’s Marina Sunset Cruise.
