In reviewing TA reports on Winter Park hotels, this one seemed to be a better choice than most. After a few nights at a "boutique" hotel in another city, the Garden Inn impressed us as sleek and modern. The room was quiet and comfortable and the ac and big TV worked well. Although there is door tag to request no room make-up, we didn't use it. The room was not made up on either morning of our stay. Check-in was a bit casual as we had to wait for someone to appear at the desk. I requested a room away from elevators and doors and received one. I had included breakfast in our room rate. There isn't an actual restaurant -- this is a Garden" Hilton -- but an open area with tables. We had to ask if it was the place for breakfast. The breakfast itself was ok but I would choose to go out if we returned. The hotel is well-located in terms of nearby restaurants and shopping. However, although it initially seemed as if we could walk into downtown, this proved impractical and it's best to make the 10-minute drive.

The drive to the airport took about 35 minutes and you definitely want a GPS to navigate the road system. Allow plenty of time! Given what others have reported on hotels in Winter Park, we'd return to this one if we had occasion to visit Winter Park again.

Was not explained to me I had to request with advance I wanted housekeeping services (its a hilton hotel), I was placed in a room right in front of the elevator hall and view of car entrance roof. (Hotel seemed empty and I asked for a nice room)
One of the queen beds was bent, I could feel how higher one part was from the other.

Both room, bathroom and bedding had a sour odor. I requested housekeeping spray the room, which they did, but it just masked the odor. A/C was super cold, and I could not get warm for the night. I shut it off but it still was cold. Carpeting was dirty, business center screens were locked, keyboards filthy. Reported to fron desk person who was glued to her phone.
