We were heading for Blue Ridge on Highway 515 and (based on previous reviews) decided to make a little detour on Highway 52 to check it out. Crossroads is about 6 or 7 miles east of Hy.515 and it is a very pretty drive. There are probably not many places like this left anymore...small grocery store/deli. The man behind the counter was very friendly as was the lady in the deli area. I said I had heard they had good pimiento cheese and he said they made it there and had two different types: regular and jalapeno. The deli lady gave me a sample of each and both were very good. They also had homemade chicken salad, smoked turkey salad, salmon salad and potato salad. You can get it to go, or there are several small tables in the grocery area where you can sit and eat. It was worth the detour.
