If you are on your own wheels the location is perfect: about 10km from Siena, easy access to the road and many sites around, such as Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. Scenic road to Asciano is amazing! Very attentive and kind staff, comfortable room, easy parking and highlight to the heated swimming pool. Breakfast is good but lacking a few items such as crudo. Internet is weak. All in all good value for money, would reccommend and stay again.

We had a studio room, innovative design, which is set adjacent to the Hotel, rather than in the main building. The room was spacious, but the design did not take full advantage of the space.
The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and the staff were helpful. The hotel were very considerate in providing a well thought out map and some suggested local tours in the region.
The dining room standards were good compared to the average hotel. The staff were also pleased to provide a list of local restaurants, all a short drive away, except one which was in the local village and a walk away.
At night (October) it got very cold in the studio room and we had to request more bed coverings. In October season the heating is not switched on.
On the day we checked out we discovered that the Hotel did provide room heaters, but we were not told this during our stay, despite our request for blankets on the 1st night.
The Hotel did offer us a reasonable cost upgrade to a luxury room, but we did not take it since we did not want the hassle of moving. On reflection we should have taken the deal. They were nice people.

Room Tip: Go for a luxury room with a view of the rolling Tuscany countryside

We stay in this hotel in the way from Siena Orvieto. Is about 10m by car of Siena.
The hotel room is pretty nice and the hotel have good facilities. The internet connection is good and the restaurant is not expensive(not a lot of restaurants in the area). The Breakfast is good, a lot of variety, the juices are not to good. Is a hotel of 4stars and I recommended.
Good value for money

We enjoyed our stay here, staff very friendly and the room was lovely. Pool was also nice, as was the breakfast.

The only issue we really had was the lack of information in the room (we didn't even have a number for reception!). Wifi wasn't great either.

Located in a very quiet area but close to Siena the Hotel Montaperti is a good choice for those traveling by car in Tuscany. The price-quality ratio is very good considering it has a spa, a good breakfast and a swimming pool, great for finishing the hot summer evenings and from where you can see a magnificent sunset. It also has a terrace restaurant located on the top floor of a hotel from which you can admire all the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. I just have good things to say about Hotel Montaperti.
