Such stuff as dreams are made on

Took the Mrs. to Henson Cove for a seminal birthday getaway only 15 minutes from Georgia's highest point - Brasstown Bald (4,784 feet ASL). Hosts Dave and Moriah demonstrated their “unplug, unwind and relax” philosophy with fortifying breakfasts prepared on a 1929 Tappan gas range, designer chocolate-dipped strawberry cercis, and a keen insight into their assistance with horseback riding, mountain "scaling", massages, wine tasting, and area fine dining reservations. And the ambiance—at every turn something to delight both the eye and the imagination. If your world is too much with you, treat yourself a visit to such a magical place as Henson Cove.
Date of stay: October 2016
Room Tip: Rainy's Hideaway has an ensuite and beautiful mountain views.

Our stay went beyond any expectations we had. It was so cozy and the food was delicious. We can't wait to come back. It felt very private. So many goodies to munch on. Warm, safe, clean and our king bed was so comfy! Dave had a lot of stories to share with us. I can't say enough about how wonderful our vacation was. It felt like we stayed with friends.

Room tip: We stayed in the Mountain View room and it never felt like it was not private even though our private bathroom was not attached to our room.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was very cozy and the breakfasts were outstanding. It was very convenient to so many different locations and places to visit. Everything added up to a very relaxing and enjoyable couple of days. Dave and Mariah are outstanding hosts providing useful information to everything in the area.

Henson Cove is a great place for a weekend or mid-week get-a-way. Hospitality and breakfast are fantastic. Dave and Mariah make you feel at home and welcome. The setting is out of the way and quiet. However there are a number of things to do within a short drive. Hike in the mountains, visit wineries or enjoy peace and quiet.

Room tip: There are three rooms in the main house with a separate cabin. We enjoyed Rainys Hideaway.

This being my wife and I's first experience with a bed and breakfast, we thought it was amazing!!! The cottage is set up cozy and very inviting, clean and comfortable. Parking was a little challenging because we were on motorcycles, but we managed and were successful. Mariah and Dave are extremely nice and very easy going, they make an awesome breakfast and supply some super snacks like homemade cookies and brownies....not to mention the complimentary wine that was enjoyable each evening.
We couldn't have asked for better weather, I hope others can be so fortunate!
The front porch is comfortable to just sit and watch the mountains during any part of the day. We stayed in the Rainy's Hideaway, which is upstairs from the dining room, has its own private bathroom and is very private. The "neighborhood" is extremely quiet except for nature, which is wonderful.

We will be staying here again for sure!!!!

Two nights at Henson Cove Place B&B bookended my Appalachian Trail section hike so I got to stay in two different rooms. Dave provided shuttle service to the trail, and I could leave my car at the B&B. Dave and Mariah have thoughtfully provided just about anything their guests might need or want. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and healthy. They provided evening wine on ice as well as a fridge for any food or drink you might bring. The setting is deep in the countryside, with ever-changing views of the mountains and a meadow with horses. I felt at peace here. Can't wait to return for the next leg of the Appalachian Trail.
