I was fortunate to go thru this home on several occasions; however, it has been too many years since it has been open to the public. The owner is planning to re-open it sometime in the future.
The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Even though you cannot see this, each room is built with bricks on all four walls. The builder was a local brick manufacturer.
You can still enjoy the outside of the home and gardens. Here you can imagine how grand it was to attend a party back in its early days. The home was built in 1879 with over one million bricks. You can also enjoy looking at the porches and gazebo, etc.
The reason for only three stars is that it is not open to the public at this time.
